Ten reasons to use sho-Q presentation software
  sho-Q What's the problem How sho-Q works
1 Is the first Powerpoint Presenter software specially written for touch screens Previous programs are keyboard and mouse driven and work with small buttons, difficult to use slide bar, and generally are more difficult to operate on a touch screen. sho-Q is specially developed for touch screens, with simple large control buttons for all functions, the risk of erroneous touch is eliminated. And because all touch functions are at the bottom region or the top of the screen with bands of non-touch sensitive areas in between, you can safely rest your hands on the lectern.
2 Encourages presenters to bring their presentations on USB stick with easy and secure handling. Presentors would prefer not to carry a laptop, but want assurance the presentation works, is easy to start up and is deleted from the lectern afterwards. sho-Q Presenter reads a single PowerPoint file, processes it and shows it on the presentation selector screen automatically. Alternatively sho-Q Pre-processor allows the presenter to save an optimized playback file on a USB-stick for instant use on the lectern. Removing the USB-stick will remove the presentation completely from the system.
3 Stops swapping of PC's. Swapping PC's between presenters is the number one reason for trouble, time-loss and stress, potentially ruining an excellent presentation. sho-Q has all the required presentations instantly available on the lectern. Additionally it shows all presentations on an inserted USB-stick. Swapping PC's is no longer required.
4 Stops viewing cluttered and private Desktops. More often than not the audience is treated to a private desktop image, while you are searching for your presentation. This detracts from your professional status. With sho-Q installed on your lectern, start presenting immediately by simply tapping the title slide of your presentation in the selector screen.
5 Is used without expertise or previous training. Facing an audience can be daunting enough, without you having to worry about the the technology you use during your presentations. sho-Q uses an natural, intuitive interface allowing you to focus on delivering the presentation. Context sensitive buttons appear only when you need to make a deliberate choice. Both first-time users and regular users find benefits. Present slides sequentially or quickly select a few slides from a large presentation: the audience always sees a smooth delivery.
6 Reduces a presenter's tendency to read out slides. "Death by Powerpoint", reading slides out loud as if the presenter sees them for the first time, due to a lack of presenter-specific notes and the inability to clearly preview the next slide. sho-Q has previous, current and next slide in your view along with any text notes in a separate legible window to maintain your line of thought. You can read the text from the notes or use reminder cues. The software helps you improve your timing, and prevents the uneasy pauses that come from not exactly knowing what the contents of the next slide are.
7 Supports any environment. Keeping tabs on often used presentations in a corporate environment can be difficult, with files spread on different laptops and hardware that doesn't function as expected in meeting rooms. sho-Q thinks of presentation equipment as an appliance: you should be able to walk into a conference room and pick the relevant presentation from a digital lectern. This can be the standard company presentation for a group of visitors, training presentations for staff or a last minute entry to a conference on a USB-stick. Our software package helps you to turn any touch screen lectern in an excellent presentation system.
8 Offers seamless change between presenters and presentations. Maintaining an even flow makes for a professional event. Jumping between presentations or going from one presenter to the next should not be visible on the audience screen; until now this was only accomplished with specialist equipment support in the room. Our selector screen allows one-touch switching between presentations and speakers. An optional automatic backdrop or intermezzo between presentations keeps the audience informed (feature currently under development).
9 Sets up all Powerpoint presentations on a lectern within minutes. Organizing a seminar, collecting all presentations and the queuing of the presenters according the agenda is time-consuming. sho-Q Planner runs anywhere in the network. Just drop in the presentations by title or key slide, save the result in the lectern folder (an automated batch process). That's it, the lectern is ready to present.
10 Improves timekeeping. Most meetings and presentations overrun because of mishaps in the changes between presenters or presenters overrunning the allotted time, playing catch-up in the end is very dissatisfactory to the audience. sho-Q shows the time of day and a timer kicks in automatically on the second slide to keep track of your time.

sho-Q Planner will allow you to set time-limits, including 'green/yellow/red' signals to hold the presenter to the allotted time (currently under development).
